What Happens to My NDIS Support When I Turn 65?

If you’re already receiving NDIS funding before the age of 65, you can continue receiving your supports as an NDIS participant for as long as you remain eligible. You also have the option to transition to Aged Care services if your needs change and you prefer a different type of support.

However, if you’re 65 or older and not currently an NDIS participant, you are not eligible to apply for the NDIS. Instead, you can access government-funded supports through the Aged Care system, including services such as Home Care Packages and residential aged care.

At Livewell, we’re here to help you navigate your care options—whether you stay with the NDIS or explore aged care pathways.
